Summary

Dance of Death is the thirteenth studio album by Maiden, released on 8 September 2003. It was their second studio release since the return of Bruce and Adrian in 1999.

The album includes the band's first fully acoustic track, "Journeyman", and "New Frontier", which was the first song co-written by Nicko.

The terrible computer-generated cover art was provided by David Patchett, who allegedly asked for his name to be removed from the album's credits after the band decided to use an unfinished version.

Despite the artwork, the album itself was praised, with "Paschendale" often cited as one of the band's greatest epics.
